Diario 7 - ¡Adios!

Para mi, fue muy triste hablar adiós de mi familia tica porque no se cuando veo vosotros otra vez! Mi mamá tica y su hijo eran gentiles, y les regalé a los dos un gran abrazo. El viaje a los

Estados Unidos fue fácil pero largo, y estaba feliz de reconectar con mi familia.

Inmediatamente, empezaba hablar de mi experiencia, mi familia tica, mis compañeros del programa, la comida, las cosas aprendí, las personas conocí, las casas, el clima, la cultura, la gratitud por el medio ambiente, etc. ¡No podía esperar más!

Mi experiencia favorita era la oportunidad de ver un hospital público desde la perspectiva de los doctores. He estado la paciente muchos tiempos en mi vida, pero no la profesional. Los problemas para los profesionales son muy diferentes, con otras limitaciones. Creo que todos las personas que usan el sistema médico deben aprender los problemas, la solidez, y las áreas para mejorar en su región.

This experience provided heavy-handed validation not only that I am passionate about the healthcare space and the betterment of care for those who rely on the system, but that there are areas for improvement here in the U.S. that are proven to work in other parts of the world. Obviously there are population, cultural, legislative and economic differences that need to be addressed before significant changes would be implemented, but it was refreshing to see for myself that different systems out there see healthcare the way I see it - as a holistic human right. My goal is to work to incorporate these ideas of physical, mental, and energetic well-being working together into the system we have active in the U.S. today that is dominated by pharmaceutical and technological advancements. Generally speaking, new does not mean better, but neither does natural - they work together.
